INJURED JOCKEY Jeff Burningham Rehabilitation

On Sunday July 14, 2019 Jeff suffered a racing accident resulting in broken shoulder and ribs,  bruised lungs and a broken L3 in his back.  Doctors were able to operate on his back on Tuesday night.  They removed the old hardware he had from a previous injury years ago with new rods.  The surgeons are hoping they will be able to go back and remove everything at a later date providing his vertebrae are stable. He has a long road ahead of him for recovery, with physiotherapy and many doctor visits over the next year or more.

Jeff is a really hard worker, always willing to help others and loves his job.  We know he will do everything he can to get back in the saddle to continue the job he has enjoyed for the past 20 years.

We are raising money to help relieve the financial stress to the everyday expenses, assist in funding therapies needed and to his overall recovery.
