Jocelyn's Path to Walking Needs Your First Steps

My name is Bre Bingle & this week (Aug 19) my baby sister Jocelyn was severely injured in a cheer accident during her first week of Freshman season.

Let me begin by saying thank you all from the bottom of all our hearts for all your continued thoughts and prayers. They are working, so keep them headed this way, please!!

She suffered a major concussion & we are still in search of answers as to why she is unable to walk on her own at this point.

“Today we had an MRI done, she had a CT scan, x-rays, an ultrasound…I think that’s all. Every test has come back looking great! Praise the Lord! Although we still don’t have answers as to why she’s unable to walk. The team hasn’t given up and they are still trying to come up with why she’s having this issue.

The physical therapists aren’t comfortable with letting her go because she can’t walk. They don’t want her getting hurt anymore, or me having to carry her when taking her to the bathroom.

The OT is concerned about her memory, which is to be expected with a concussion. They will all be in to work with her again tomorrow. Which means, yes, we are spending another night in the hospital.

With what we’ve been told so far, there will be many trips back and forth to Wichita to the concussion clinic. There will be medical bills, travel expenses, etc. I know God will always provide and we will get through this. I never thought in my wildest dreams we would be here.

Also, as you can see by the picture, she was finally able to take her pretty necklace off. She’s so very thankful for that!“
