Jocelyn's Irish Dance World Championship Fund

Jocelyn Mehle is a 12 year old Open Championship level Irish dancer from the Burke School of Irish Dance in Youngstown, Ohio. Jocelyn has been dancing since she was 5 years old. At this years regional Mid-American Oireachtas on December 1, 2019 Jocelyn qualified for the Irish Dance World Championships for the first time. Jocelyn trains four to five days a week at the Burke studio and also does strength and flexibility training at home on her own. Dancing at the Worlds has been the dream for her.
Qualifying is an amazing accomplishment. The Irish Dance World Championships are equivalent to the Olympics for the Irish dancers. According to the documentary The Big Jig only 1% of Irish dancers in the USA qualify for the world championships. This year is the 50th anniversary of the World Championships and it will take place in Dublin, Ireland.
There are many expenses when traveling abroad including passports, airline tickets, hotel stays, and food. Not to mention entry fees and daily door fees once you arrive at the venue of the championship. Any donation to help offset the cost to get Jocelyn to the Worlds would be greatly appreciated.
