Job (Humberto) Blanco Memorial Scholarship Fund

Job Blanco, my best friend and a beautiful soul, passed away in a freak motorbike accident along with his cousin on Sunday November 1, 2020. He was only 28 years old. His whole life was ahead of him. My name is Russ Batchelder and I'm the organizer of this Memorial and Scholarship fund. I want to try to help the incredible family he leaves behind. His mom and dad, lovely wife Jessica, his two beautiful daughters, sister and brothers are truly heartbroken. So am I, along with my wife Jayne. I know there are others out there who are also hit hard by this terrible tragedy.
If you knew Job, then you know he had a big  smile and a bigger heart. If you needed anything, Job would never say "no", he was always there to help. Job was a great observer, he saw things other people missed. And he had a lot of common sense way beyond his years. He went on to earn a great position as a manager in a construction specialty company, and worked hard all over the region. He wanted to see his wife achieve her dream of completing nursing school and becoming an RN. Just two days before he passed away, he told me he was using his savings to pay for Jessica's school tution. My dream would be to see Jessie continue on with her studies and get that diploma that says "Registered Nurse". Maybe with a little help, it could say "M.D."!  Job would have loved that!  I know his biggest concern would be for the welfare and security of his family.

Right now the goal of this campaign is to raise enough funds to pay for Job's funeral expenses and maybe even Jessica's tuition and living expenses for the next year. If you can help, even a little bit, it would mean so much to them and to me.  Every penny raised will go to Job's family to help get them through this very tough time. I know they appreciate everyone's help, thoughts and prayers. I know Job does too. I still consider him my best friend. Now he's my Guardian Angel too. Vaya con Dios, Job. We miss you.
