Today we should be celebrating Joara’s 22nd birthday but are instead grieving her passing. Joara fought hard for 7 days but unfortunately lost her battle to COVID. She desperately sought help from various hospitals but was turned away due to limited capacity or was straight up told “to deal with it” and that those were normal COVID symptoms. Her symptoms were not normal; she could not breathe. She leaves behind a long-time lover and girlfriend along with their fur babies, and small home among other things. Joara’s main passion was housing or sheltering animals. She adopted two cats and a German Shepard, Ezra and had lots of other animals throughout her lifetime. She dreamed of being a vetearían one day. She was the the most genuine, loving and kindhearted person. She was a great Tia, daughter, sister, and girlfriend. We ask that you guys help our family through these difficult times. Any amount isn’t too small and would be genuinely appreciated.
