Our dear family member Joaquin Nunes has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer, that has spread to his bones throughout his body. This came as a complete shock and heartbreak to the family of Joaquin. Unfortunately, this is not the first big struggle the family has had to face. On August 26th of 2018 Joaquin and his wife Pamela lost their son Louie unexpectedly, due to an unknown heart condition. Joaquin has always been a considerate and caring man to everyone in his life. He would do anything for his family or friends and has always put others first. When Joaquin's daughter Katrina needed a kidney he was quick to give her one. He has worked for Superior Truck Lines Inc. for the past 17 years and absolutely loves driving his milk truck. Joaquin is a veteran as he served his country in the Navy. Joaquin's brothers and sisters are confident that he will fight this cancer for his wife Pamela, his son Joaquin Jr, his angel up above Louie, his Daughter Katrina and his two granddaughters Teri and Olivia. 

Words from Pamela; "I love him dearly with all my heart and I am completely devastated. He's my soulmate, my best friend and I will be lost without him. We all pray he has the strength to beat this cancer, and we want to thank every one that continues to support us." 

Joaquin has worked his entire life to provide for the family he loves. With this sudden diagnosis the family is struggling to provide the funds for his upcoming treatments, appointments, CT scans, numerous tests and travel expenses to Stanford. We want everyone to know that any amount helps, and we greatly appreciate whatever you are able to give. Our family strongly believes that prayer can conquer anything.
