Hi, my name is Joao. I am a recent Brazilian migrant who came to the U.S. with my family to establish a good life for us. Since Portuguese is my native language and I’m still learning English I’ve created this fund with the help of some friends. Two weeks ago I endured a freak accident and was impaled by a foreign object. By the grace of God I was rushed to the hospital, operated on by some amazing doctors, and miraculously will not endure any severe, long lasting repercussions. However due to the extent of the injury, I still have a long road to recovery and being able to work again. The reason for this fund is to supplement some of my income to provide for my wife and son while I recover and until I am able to work again. I thank God for those who acted quickly to help me and feel so blessed to be able to even function, but I do not my family to be inconvenienced because of an accident that was out of anybody’s control. Whatever you can afford to spare for my family and I would be greatly appreciated. The doctors say I still have at least another month of recovery before I can begin to work again and I eagerly await that day, but until then any help we could receive would be an absolute blessing.
