Dearest Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a humble request for assistance. My sister, Joan Guerra, arrived in the United States on November 15 to reunite with our family after 3 years. Her visit was meant to be a time of healing and connection, especially after the loss of our mother to cancer about three years ago, whom she hadn't seen for almost 8 eight years. Our father, who is disabled and has mobility issues, was unable to travel, making Joan’s visit even more precious.
Tragically, during her stay, Joan suffered a Left Side Intracerebral Hemorrhage and was rushed to the ER and later on got admitted to the hospital. She is currently in the ICU at Houston Methodist Hospital and will require extensive rehabilitation to regain her health and return to the Philippines where she lives.
Despite our best efforts and the support of those around us, the medical expenses for Joan's care and soon to be rehabilitation have become overwhelming. As we navigate this challenging time, we are humbly asking for your generosity to help cover the financial burden of her treatment. Any donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated and will go directly towards Joan's medical expenses and rehabilitation.
Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time. Your generosity will make a significant difference in Joan's recovery journey.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Guerra Family
