Joan's Challenge: James' Sudden Loss

This page is for friends and family, near and far, for James 'Chopper' Hughes. His recent passing has altered time and emotions and every energy that surrounds those that are left behind.

On December 26th he left us, and we believed that time was not so very fleeting, but sadly it was. From the time he was diagnosed with Cancer until his final day, was less than 3 months. Again, we thought we had more time. He will be missed by so many, but not more impacted than by his partner in life, Joan Rice. As many of you know they were together for so long and really didn't think that his cancer would take him so very quickly.

I am Joans sister (Ami Hill), I am putting this together to gather support to help her. She will have the financial challenge to memorialize him. There are costs that will go to the Mortuary & Cremation, a Celebration of Life and many of her basic living expenses to leave their home and short falls with vehicles, that her name was on.

We all may experience waves of intense and very difficult emotions, ranging from profound sadness, emptiness and despair to shock, numbness guilt or regret. That is why I will leave you each with this:

Take time to make time, because we don't have time to waste!

Nothing is so important that should hold us back from loving and being loved.

Anything donated over the needed amounts will be donated in James name to the American Cancer Society.
