JoAnn Luzum's Flood Relief

JoAnn Luzum is an 83 year old Calmar resident, who was affected by the flood waters on August 23rd.
At 11:00 on Tuesday night after the rain had been falling steady for about 3-4 hours, she heard a big crack right under her bedroom. She came to find out that the south wall of her basement had collapsed due to the heavy flow of rain. The force of this wall collapsing also ruined other walls in the basement. The crew of Brandon Albertson and the Calmar Fire Department came to check out the scene. That night they were unable to go down into the basement, however, family did spend hours sandbagging so that no more water would enter. The next morning they secured the main floor with support jacks. Everything in her basement was a complete loss due to water damage.
Friends and family of JoAnn have been helping her all week cleaning up the mess. Currently JoAnn is unable to stay at her house due to the structural safety.
Unfortunately, this type of damage is not covered with insurance and is going to be spendy to repair everything.
As a granddaughter of JoAnn's, the family and I would greatly appreciate any help in efforts to rebuild and clean up her house.
