On December 18th, 2020 Joanne woke up from a nap extremely sick and barely could even keep her eyes open. She was home alone, and luckily was able to call 911. We was transferred to Winter Haven Hospital that afternoon, and was released with a diagnosis of just a severe migraine. If anyone knows her, they would know she has an extremely high pain tolerance. On Sunday afternoon, she was still not feeling well, so she ended back in the ER. Once again she was released with the same diagnosis. On Wednesday December 23, 2020 she started to become worse (thank goodness her family was with her) she ended up back into the ER for the 3rd time. They finally ran more test. On Christmas Eve morning she was told she tested Positive for Meningitis. The Second Shift ER doctor came in and thought there was more going on. They ran some more test, and she was immediately transferred to St. Joseph's Hospital. On Christmas morning Joanne underwent surgery for a Brain Aneurysm. She is now in ICU and recovering, but has a long road ahead of her and will be out of work with no sorts of income.
Joanne is the kind of friend that is always there, doesn't matter time or day, for her friends and family. She puts the biggest smile on all of our faces. It's our turn to help her out. We all know this year has been extremely tough for all of us, and with Christmas just ending, we know it may be hard to donate. It you could please just keep her in your prayers. No donation is too small.
UPDATE 12/30/20 - On December 29, 2020 - Jojo was taken back for additional two surgeries. One surgery was to remove fluid from her brain and the second one was to put medicine directly on her brain to stop the spasms. She came out of surgery, and her son David was there to be with her. She was in good spirits and her sarcastic self :)
