Joanne Keller’s cancer treatment medical fund

Some of you know me and my work, but few know how hard I struggled through school. Raising four kids and flipping pancakes for 700 students, I clawed my way through college on a wing and a prayer. Joanne was right there, every step of the way, working with me, supporting me, encouraging me, tutoring me, or just lifting me up with her sunny disposition, kindness and hilarious sense of humor. I don’t think I would have made it without her effervescent personality. Simply put, the world is a better place with her in it. I don’t know a more deserving soul. I’ve asked the universe to take away her pain and free her from this cancer. I have beseeched the goddess of mercy on her behalf, now, I’m going out on a limb and asking all of you to give, to donate what you can. No one should suffer this awful fate because of lack of resources. Joanne is the most gentle, generous and giving soul, she is who you would hope your daughter to be. She is the good part in every one of us that we rarely see, that we aspire to be and fail, with every fiber in her being, she is the greater good in all of us. Joanne is a fighter and has an indomitable spirit. She will fight the good fight, but she needs our help. Please give anything you can, dig deep because she brings immeasurable joy to all she meets and we must not let her wither on the vine. Help me to lift her up. There is good in the world if not justice, let’s remind her of that. The next time you hear a baby giggle or see a beautiful bird in the sky, or just feel a gentle breeze on a warm summer day caress you, please reflect on how short our time here is and how precious every single day is. What would you give for more time, less pain…another chance? Take this opportunity to demonstrate our humanity, help me help Joanne. The candle that burns half as long, burns twice as bright, and she has shined so very brightly. Help me bring a little light and love to her world…& in doing so, become the change you wish to see in the world.
