Joanne Jenkins Award for Community Service
Donation protected
The Joanne Jenkins Award for Community Service is being created to honour the memory of Joanne through the creation of a book prize, awarded annually to students at Dewson Public School. Our intention is to offer the prize for years to come.
The award is established in recognition of Joanne's lifelong commitment to the arts and to the values of equity, empathy and generosity. Joanne's commitments were exemplified by her exceptional teaching, and by her deep devotion to her students and to the Dewson community. Hence, the Joanne Jenkins Award for Community Service will be given to students who demonstrate these values by their own outstanding service given to their community.
Joanne will always be cherished by those who were part of her enormous circle. She will live on in the hearts and minds of us all.
This commemoration of Joanne has been organized by:
Candida Girling
Lisa Wyndels
Lisa Nave
Gudrun Olafsdottir
Frida Jenkins-Roe
We thank you sincerely for all donations. We feel that Joanne would be very pleased to know this will happen.
