A message from Joanne:
Many of you know me as always smiling, always laughing, Jo. I was the one in the office, on my team, in my circle with the newest health crave, the best exercise and the tastiest, healthiest smoothie “in the world”. Imagine my fear and unbelief when I awaken and noticed a fairly large lump in my breast. After spending about a week in denial, I went to the doctor quickly learning that I have what is known as invasive ductal carcinoma, a very aggressive, but treatable breast cancer that has spread to one lymph node. I will be receiving 17 treatments of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, then radiation. This time I need you.
Although, I have insurance with my company, it does not begin to help pay for incidentals like: partial time off (this first week has been totally awful!), rent payments, etc. I am intentionally not placing a dollar amount on this posting, but asking you to give from your heart. If not monetary, all heart-felt prayers will be ever so appreciated.
