Help Mulan & Our Family Recovery from Car Accident
Donation protected
On February 18, 2025, just minutes from home, our lives changed forever. A distracted driver swerved into our lane, our daughter Mulan D’Ior Stewart, and me in a devastating crash.
In that split second, all I could do was shield my baby in her car seat and pray. The impact was severe I was left unable to move, and worst of all, Mulan stopped breathing.
With no one around who knew infant CPR, her father sprang into action, performing CPR on the side of the road until she took a breath again. When EMTs arrived, they rushed her to the hospital, where we learned she had suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and needed emergency surgery. We were told the heartbreaking news she might not make it.
At the same time, I was in another hospital, barely conscious, facing a broken femur and shattered ribs. But nothing could keep me from my daughter. Against medical advice, I checked out to be by her side.
"A True Medical Miracle"
The odds were against her, but Mulan fought. We were told she had a 50/50 chance of surviving the surgery. She is still here, proving she is our little warrior. Every day is a battle, and though we don’t know what the future holds, we are holding onto faith.
" Why We Need Your Help "
This tragedy has left us with mounting medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and lost income as we focus on healing. With a long recovery ahead for Mulan and myself, we are asking for your support to help:
✔️ Cover Mulan’s ongoing medical treatments & therapy
✔️ Support our family’s essential expenses while we recover
We are so grateful for any help—whether it’s a donation, a share, or a prayer. Every bit of support makes a difference in our fight to recover.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us.
With love, Joanne Garcia & Family
