Joanna's Funeral Fund: A Family's Heartfelt Plea

Dear friends, family, and kind souls,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce our sister Joanna's passing. For those of you who didn't have the pleasure of knowing her, Jo was a kind sister, a loving aunt, and the greatest mom. And I mean PTA president, IEP advocating, and "in this house we communicate with love" type of mom. Her death was sudden, senseless, and the pain of losing her is fresh.

We wish that the universe would have given us more time with her. We wish we were planning a mother's day celebration and not a mother's funeral. We wish we could cocoon the kids so they wouldn't have to suffer. We wish we could mourn properly, but we need to make arrangements. Unfortunately, even a modest service is proving to be a financial burden in this difficult time.

So we started this fundraiser with the hope that you all can help us honor Joanna's memory. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help and allow us to focus on our grieving. Funds raised will go towards the funeral service, burial costs, transportation, burial permits, and cemetery fees. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in ensuring that my nieces and nephew send their mom off with the dignity and grace she deserves.
