Update 3 Dec 25 - mum passed away at 1.45pm, quietly and peacefully in her sleep. You're now no longer in pain, love you.

Mum to 4 sons, nana to 4 grand children, good friend to many, soon to be taken from us (way to fucking soon)

Early 2025, we found out that Joanna (mum/Nana Jo) diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and after the tests, confirmed it was stage 4 - inoperable and incurable.

She has been so strong all year with Chemo and Radiation, shaving her hair off, wearing a wig, and putting on a brave face.

However after the chemo and radiation, we found out that the treatment had only aggravated the cancer and it spread to lower half of her torso; kidney and spine specifically.

We had a glimmer of hope as tests showed that she has a gene mutation that gave the Doctors more options to try "extend life expectancy".

Until 2 weeks ago we were still hopeful the the gene mutation meds will work. After a week of these meds, she became very ill, O2 sats were dangerously low and ended up having a stroke.

2 Dec 25- Shes still fighting! still with us!

Now been told there is nothing more that can be done and making her comfortable is best as any cancer treatment will be too hard for her.

Doctor confirmed that she doesn't have much time left, this weekend (30 Nov) was a shock as we were told she had 24-48hrs .

Shes proved them wrong, still fighting but now on 100% Oxygen.

I really didn't think we'd need to do this, believing that "its not that bad, she will beat this".

But now it's all too real.

This gofundme will help towards paying the funeral costs and memorial when that time comes.
