It takes a lot to understand, appreciate, and love all the dynamics of a blended family. It is with sadness that my sister and brother suddenly lost their mother on Monday September 16th. Joann Blais left behind 1 daughter (Chantal), 3 sons (Ricky, Lionel, Matt), 5 grandchildren and a loving spouse Mac.

Joann was a school bus driver for over 30 years and was very loved and respected within her community. She spent many years getting to know the family members of the young ones she was responsible for, and she truly enjoyed driving students to and from school.

Her career as a school bus driver did not provide her with the opportunity of life insurance or a pension. As many of you are aware, it costs a small fortune to have a celebration of life for someone including the funeral expenses.

Many people have reached out asking how they can help support Mac and her children. The family is requesting donations to help alleviate the cost to her husband for the funeral expenses. If you are interested in helping please feel free to donate. Any little bit will help the family.

update - Sept. 17: 

Thank you for all of your kind words, messages, texts, emails and generosity. It was with heavy hearts that we said our final goodbye to our wife, mother and grandmother today. Your messages make us smile during this difficult time and we are thankful for that.
