My mother-in-law, Joanie Joiner, 64, has lost her home from a fire in the St. Albans Green apartment building complex in Sycamore, IL. The fire had spread throughout her building while she was working only a few blocks away. Her home is where her heart was and some of her most prized possessions which may not be able to be salvaged. Unfortunately she didn’t have any renters insurance and so many things are lost. Any donations would be greatly appreciated for Joanie in her time of need.
Anyone that knows Joanie knows that she is a good-hearted, kind, woman. She has a heart of gold and she would help anyone in need.
She is staying with her son Josh Joiner, and his family until she can build a new life for her self. We are so relieved that she is safe and with us now. Her goal is get back to sycamore so that she may reside closer to work in her own apartment again someday within walking distance. If anyone hears of any apartments in that area please keep your ears open for us.
