Joan Smith, how do I even start to describe this lady? She is quiet but mighty in the spirit.  A prayer warrior whose passion is to disciple people towards the Lord.  Last week she underwent a surgery that came back to be cancer.  She continues to press on to the Lord despite her physical pain, She battles each ache with His word. "In my weakness He is my strength."
"He is here with me, beside me all the time."
"His plans and purpose are far better than any plans."
I am joyful and grateful to the Lord as I witness her determination to continue to be faithful, and holding onto  each of Jesus"s promises.

This fund is for her.  She is a mentor and spiritual mother not only to me but to countless ladies she have met along her journey.   Both Joan and husband Rick have openly offered their time and love to us when our marriage was in the brink of destruction.  They both held our hands and said "Let us walk back to Jesus  in this together."  We are forever grateful that, through them, we have seen the love of Jesus that has been there all this time, a non convicting love, a love full of grace.

Rick and Joan are in their early 70's.  Retired and dependent on the limited resource of the pension they receive.  Any small gift will be valuable for her and her husband.  It will greatly help them with their medical bills and with medications needed.   Above all, our prayers will help her immeasurably.  What is cancer against the name of the mighty King?
