A lifelong teacher, Joan was an incredibly creative, thoughtful, and highly empathetic educator. She believed wholeheartedly in the goodness of the students she taught, and worked tirelessly to support her children to grow into kind, intelligent, and compassionate citizens of the world - particularly those who were most vulnerable.

Through the Joan Coomer Scholarship Fund, we can continue her legacy by helping to support the educational journey of marginalized students in West Valley Schools.
