Jo, Krystle & Milan’s Snowdon Hike 13th July 2025

Hi, my name is Jo and i am raising money for my charity Unmask Cancer. I created the charity as a way to give back after I was diagnosed with breast cancer a month before my 33rd birthday when my kids were 11, 13 and 14.

I went through hell and back during my chemotherapy treatment and without the support of my amazing breast nurse and loved ones I’m not sure that I would have got through it.

My charity started off as a way to turn something negative into a positive by organizing a ball which has now become an annual event raising money for various cancer charities until i took the plunge to register as my own charity.

I personally know the hell that people go through after a diagnosis and how much treatment pushes you to breaking point yet you have no choice but to carry on going and this is what this challenge is going to signify for me. No matter how hard it gets I have to keep pushing on like I did back then and how everyone going through it does now. Jo ❤️x

Hey, I’m Krystle.

Unmask Cancer is a charity that is very close to my heart for the obvious reasons of it being founded by my best friend Jo after the devastating news of being diagnosed with breast cancer. She has managed to turn her nightmare into a beautiful gift of helping others suffering with cancer, she has worked hard to create this charity and I am proud to be a trustee for it alongside her.

The reason I am doing this mental idea…I mean walk, is because I thought it was about time as her best friend that that I pulled my finger out and did a fundraiser to raise some money for the charity so that we can continue to support those going through their diagnosis and to also mark her 7th year in remission and this is marking that occasion to show her how far she has come in those years.

Sadly we all know somebody who we have loved and lost along the way to this disease so another reason I am doing this is for my Nanny, Grandad, Holly & Michelle.

There is nobody else in the world I would do this madness so please support us in raising as much as we can so we can continue to support those in need.

Hi I am Milan and I am Jo’s middle child. The reason I am doing this walk is to support my mum and her charity after her diagnosis when I was 13 years old.

It wasn’t an easy thing to process when we was told the life changing news but she is now 7 years in remission on the day that we do our hike and it’s a great way to celebrate how far she has come whilst raising money for her charity that she founded to support those and their families that are going through the same situation that we all found ourselves in back in 2017.
