Jo Elda's Battle: Frontline Worker vs. Cancer

Donation protected
JoElda Jalomo is a 49 year old, single, independent, hard-working woman who was diagnosed in 2018 with stomach cancer.   She worked multiple jobs simultaneously for most of her adult life until being diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago.   Since then, life has become extremely challenging- physically, emotionally, and financially.

JoElda has been making regular trips back and forth to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.  After her initial surgery and radiation for 2 months, everything seemed promising; however, the cancer abruptly returned.  She started Chemo once more and begun follow-up PET SCANS every 3 months at MD Anderson, that are still ongoing.

She is out of paid sick leave with her job at San Angelo Community Medical Center (SACMC) and rapidly incurring costs for medical expenses, household bills, and travel back and forth to Houston.  She most recently had to have a PEG/J tube replacement and has been undergoing chemo since March.

Despite her situation, she is "so thankful for all the support from her amazing co-workers, family, friends, her two adult children, and her 12 year old granddaughter.”

Any small amount will help lift some of this burden off of JoElda during this uncertain time.  She also welcomes prayers!
