Jo Ann's Surgery

At the beginning of this year, my mom, Jo Ann Jarrett-Grant, began suffering from stomach pains and cramps. But since she doesn’t have health insurance, she could not afford to see a doctor. After four months, she could no longer ignore her exhausting pain, and was rushed to the emergency room twice in late September. The ER doctors diagnosed her with a potentially life-threatening tumor. They have recommended surgery in the next two weeks, but the costs are far beyond anything we can manage. My mom’s poor health has put her out of work, and as a single mother putting her youngest son through high school and her only daughter through college, she has found it difficult to keep up with bills, let alone manage to pay for a surgery exceeding $10,000. Any and all donations toward the funding of my mom’s surgery would be greatly appreciated by my brothers and I.
