Hi!
On behalf of our sister, daughter, and friend, our family would like to introduce you to an amazing woman in need.
This is Erin. A beautiful 36 year old mother to 3 beautiful girls. Up until October 4th, she was making a life with her daughters as a single mom, working a part time job and looking forward to the weekend. That all changed when a blood clot to one of the cerebral arteries blocked the blood flow to her brain causing "numerous strokes". She was rushed to the hospital, where after some tests she was taken into surgery. Her family was called and quickly gathered to eventually hear what no one ever wants to hear. Surgery would be performed to insert a stent into the artery to open it up. It didn't work and we were told that Erin was brain dead and "cannot survive this". And as we prayed, God began moving. Somehow she survived the night and some time later the stent worked and blood was flowing again to her brain. The drs were puzzled. They had no care plan as this was "uncharted territory" and in spite of all of that..a week in a coma in ICU on a ventilator, eventually a tracheotomy and a feeding tube, Erin continued to surprise everyone except those of us that know her and know the power of prayer.
Today, she remains in hospital, awake and alert. Smiling at times and able to answer questions with a nod or shake of her head. She has use of her left side and continues her journey to get back to her children, who are her whole world. Erin's needs will likely change through her recovery. Currently she requires a Dyna Splint for her feet to keep them from further contractures. She has bills that need to be paid and we expect more mobility devices as she continues with rehab.
We're a private family who likes to handle our affairs privately however this is much bigger than us and we need your help to get her back on her feet, back to her children and back to her family and all who love her.
Our family appreciates you taking the time to read this any donation amount helps.
For those who would like to donate outside of GoFundMe you can do so through contacting me on this post.
