Cluster Buster for Sarah

Sarah smiles and powers through chronic migraines almost daily. That's her "normal" life.
Unfortunately, on top of that, every few years for the last 8 years, Sarah has suffered a “season” (it can last anywhere from 100-171 days) of 'cluster headaches'. Cluster headaches are different than migraines. They are *worse* than migraines. During this season, she will be attacked with cluster headaches multiple times a day. The pain is so unbearable, they are often referred to as suicide headaches and the pain is usually described as being stabbed in the eye with an ice pick. This is what our friend Sarah is going through right now.
Good news! There are some therapies that can help during this painful season. Her two primary helpers right now are an Imitrex nasal spray and oxygen...like a tank of 100% oxygen! Both of these therapies are used at the very onset of the cluster. If she can get to the oxygen quick enough, the cluster may last 30 minutes as opposed to hours and hopefully keeps it from reaching the dreaded pain level of 10. There are a few other therapies and countless doctors appoints over the last 21 years in hopes to heal Sarah from these debilitating migraines and cluster headaches.
As you can easily imagine, these therapies are incredibly expensive. Imitrex costs $210 per 6 dose pump. That's $35 per spray. Some days require 4-5 sprays. As for the oxygen, in the past the Taylors have rented this, but the last season of clusters lasted six months! At $350/month ($2100), they decided to purchase one this time around for $1600. (I don't think that includes the oxygen refills.)
In addition to the medical bills, these headaches often render Sarah ineffective. If you know her, this is in direct opposition to her willing and can-do attitude. So, getting dinner on the table is a lot harder than usual.
During this strange time, we feel it is better to bless the Taylors with money for takeout rather than bringing meals. Our goal was originally based on $50/day for $100 days coming to $5000. We hope that it goes above and beyond to help pay for some of the medical bills. If you would like to give, please know that any amount helps! And if you would like your gift to go specifically to either a meal or medical, please feel free to communicate that.
We are well aware some folks have been hit incredibly hard right now. So please don’t feel pressured to give. Let's keep Sarah and her sweet family in your prayers. Sarah’s been kept in tact by God’s powerful and good hands. She is a testimony to his faithfulness and unfailing love even in many seasons of failing health. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!
