Support in Memory of Avery LaVoy
Donation protected
On the morning of February 11, 2024, Avery suffered a medical crisis induced by respiratory failure. Unable to breathe, he was immediately admitted to Medical City of Plano’s ICU and placed on multiple forms of life support. Avery fought with everything he had for the next three weeks though sadly, Avery passed on March 2nd.
Avery proudly served in the Marine Corps from 2005-2009, spending one tour in Iraq, and received many military accolades fighting for his country, including for bravery, sacrifice, and marksmanship. Once released from the military, Avery pursued finishing his college degree and began growing his career in the construction industry.
On January 15, Avery’s fiancé Mary arrived in Texas after waiting patiently over three years to be together. Originally from Siargao, a small island off the coast in The Philippines, Mary was excited to start her new life with Avery. They were legally wed on January 26 and Mary has remained steadfast in her hope, faith and love for Avery through these trying weeks. She is a loved member within the LaVoy family and spent every night at the hospital fighting alongside Avery until the very end.
With his passing, Mary and the LaVoy family appreciate your generosity for any added financial support. This support will help cover Avery's medical bills as well as Mary's living expenses, financial decisions as she navigates returning back to her family in The Philippines, and grief counseling at this time. Avery was the sole provider for he and Mary, therefore any financial support you choose to provide help.
