Danks Defeats Cancer

Donation protected
Our friend Jason Danks was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma. While we’re
confident that he will beat it, the diagnosis alone required a near two-week hospital stay, and the six separate impending chemotherapy treatments will require at least seven (7) total weeks of in-patient treatment.

We humbly ask, in Jason’s name, for financial support from anyone that knows Jason, anyone who has helped others battle Lymphoma, and/or anyone willing to help a fellow friend/man.  All proceeds will first be applied to Jason’s medical bills,  and any remaining proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Our objective is to allow Jason to focus solely on defeating Lymphoma,
without the stress of impending medical bills.  All assistance is greatly appreciated.

While we knew that we could not post this fundraiser without his approval, Jason asked that we include the following note:

"I never thought in a million years that I would be diagnosed with Lymphoma, but
neither do the other nearly 86,000 people in the U.SS that will be diagnosed with some form of Lymphoma this year. As a cancer patient, I am now in one of the highest, if not the highest, risk categories for COVID-19.

Wearing your mask is not intended as a protective measure for you - the healthy mask-wearer. Rather, wearing a mask is intended to protect others
like me battling similar afflictions (or your grandparents, parents, or older family
members) who are in public on a daily basis out of necessity. While you are now acutely aware of my condition, and I know that you would do anything to keep me safe, I am no more special than the man who you are behind in line for coffee or the woman that you pass in the mall, each battling similar afflictions of which you are not acutely aware.

If you choose not to donate, that is fine. However, please wear a mask – everywhere.  Always. Wear your mask every time you leave the house. Wear your mask inside the  convenience store. Wear your mask at the bank. If more people inside and outside my circle of family and friends are diligent about wearing masks, the spread of COVID-19 will decline. Intuitively, a decline in the spread of COVID-19 will increase my chances of survival (as well as others like me).
