Hello, my name is Rebecca Mayo and my dog is Nyla. We are facing losing our house due to back taxes. Over the last year, I have struggled since one of my three beloved sons, Larry, died tragically in a drowning accident in October 2022. Larry was kayaking with his family and friends and he died saving the life of a four-year-old boy. Ever since then, I have slipped into a deep depression, and I have fallen behind in an agreement with my local the city of Charlottesville to repay taxes.
