My name is Monica Ellsworth. I am creating this go fund me for my little sister Jamie Robinson. She is a 30 year old Single mom currently battling 2 invasive cancers. December of 2020 she was diagnosed with stage 1 Invasive cervical cancer. Had to endure a Hysterectomy, chemo therapy and radiation for 2 years. During the last 2 years Jamie has been admitted to the hospital 13 times do to complications and surgeries. Her cervical cancer spread to her left hip and right lung. Chemo and surgery to her lung took care of it. But now Jamie is fighting again. She now has a 9 by 8 centimeter tumor growing on her chest that was just diagnosed as Invasive Breast Cancer.

In 2 weeks Jamie will have to start another round of chemo and Immunotherapy to shrink her tumor. The Chemotherapy she will be receiving does cause hair loss. If anyone knows Jamie personally you will know she had to shave her head last August and was bald all winter last year. She finally had enough hair that she has not had to wear her wigs in public. She has been So happy to have it back and feel semi normal for once in the last year.

The explained how losing her hair the first time was very traumatic and heartbreaking. She does not want to have to live through that trauma a second time.

This time she has been offered a cooling cap to slow down and stop the process of losing her hair. Her oncologist has given her the paper work but did not explain to Jamie her insurance does not cover it. She will need $1,700 up front to cover the cost of her cooling cap before her first chemo therapy in 2 weeks.

Jamie is not allowed to work right now and is on a fixed income due to her battling cancer and having to focus on her health. She is a single mom trying to raise her 4 year old daughter and beat Cancer. She just wants to feel normal, women find their beauty in their hair. When that’s stripped from you, you begin to feel lost.
