I’m a single mom who has spent my life working to build a safe, stable future for my son. After surviving childhood abuse and growing up in foster care, I became a mother at 23 and have raised my son on my own ever since.

Despite difficult and unsafe living situations in the past, I worked hard to rebuild. I secured housing, a car, and steady employment, but recently I was unable to remain in that job and have struggled to find new work despite actively interviewing. In hopes of creating a better, more stable life, we made the difficult decision to move to the coast for new opportunities and a fresh start.

Right now, we are behind on rent and facing the risk of eviction in January. We are seeking help to get caught up and stay housed while I continue searching for work and rebuilding stability.

My son is 17 and a kind, intelligent young man with a passion for technology and dreams of working in cybersecurity. He’s currently attending school online and continues to move forward with resilience and hope.
