Hi everyone,
We’re Asahel and Erin, and many of you know us from working in the downtown St. Pete and Tampa service industry. Between the two of us, we’ve spent over a decade behind the bar and on the floor — serving, chatting, laughing, and building connections with the amazing people who make this community feel like family.
Today, we’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help saving our cat, Biscuit.
Over the past few weeks, Biscuit has gone through multiple emergency surgeries for urinary blockages. Despite countless vet visits, catheters, and sleepless nights at the emergency clinic, the blockages keep coming back.
Now, his vet says Biscuit needs a specialized surgery called a PU (perineal urethrostomy) — a procedure that allows him to pee normally and prevent future blockages. It’s his best — and really his only — chance at a pain-free life.
We’ve already spent over $4,000 keeping him alive through multiple emergency visits and treatments. We’ve maxed out credit cards doing everything we can to help him, but this next surgery and recovery will cost another $1,500–$2,000, which we simply can’t afford on our own.
Biscuit is our little shadow — the first to greet us when we come home from long shifts, the one who curls up with us every night, and the soft, sweet heartbeat that makes our apartment feel like a home. Watching him struggle has been devastating.
We’re asking our friends, family, coworkers, and the many guests who’ve become part of our lives over the years to please consider helping us give Biscuit the chance to live without pain. Every dollar counts, and even sharing this page means the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, for caring, and for being part of the community that’s supported us through so much already. From the bottom of our hearts — and Biscuit’s — thank you.
– Asahel, Erin & Biscuit
