Mary and Tom Swenson have done so much for so many! We would like to give back to them now. As you know, Mary is on leave to be home and care for Tom. They now have 24 hour care a few days a week and Mary is there everyday.
Let me first tell you about Tom. Tom has Alzheimers and is home with constant care. But what is most important is to know that whatever life has thrown at Tom, he has taken that as an opportunity to give back himself. Whether it is to raise awareness, money, or to mentor and support others in the same situation, Tom has been there.
Now Mary! She has done the same for friends, her students, families in the community of our school district, or anyone that needs a hand. Mary is amazing and unbelievably strong, but she is a giver and has a hard time reaching out and asking for help. She is too busy helping others, especially Tom.
Together, the two of them have given 60 + years to the Darien School District! Wow!! That is an incredible amount of people whose lives they have touched. It is time to touch their lives and give to Mary and Tom. Keep reading to see how this works!!!
The Pea Pod Project will allow you to donate to the Swenson family to help provide Pea Pod grocery service to their home. Our initial goal was to reach $3,000 which will provide about 6 months of service for them. Because of the overwhelming support, we will continue on and funds beyond the $3000 will go to Mary and Tom for their greatest need. This will be one less worry for Mary. Here’s how it works. You can either donate online here at Go Fund Me or send Sally a check or cash to Lace school.
Choose the notecard(s) for your donation. These are prints of my art work as a thank you from me for your support.
For donations of:
* $5 - $25 you can choose 1 notecard.
* $26- $50 you can choose 2 notecards.
* $51 - $75 you can choose 3 notecards.
* $76 - $100 you can choose 4
notecards.
* $101 and higher you can choose 5
notecards and a surprise original art
work will be sent to you.
