If you know me, you know me. I currently have no heat in my house. Nighttime tips in big bear right now are in the high 20s . I was scheduled to get federal funding to have an organization come in to fix my heater for me, but the shut down and our president has made that impossible.

I am currently sleeping in my living room on a fold out couch because it’s the closest place I can get to that’s near my oven. My oven is the only source of heat I have in my house. I have to turn it on three times a day for approximately one hour and just pray that my gas bill isn’t gonna kill me.

I found somebody who will come in and look at my heater and see what can be done but my ex-husband has left me absolutely broke while he lives in $1 million house making $1 million a year in Palmdale. He won’t help me even though we’re still married — his idea not mine.

The only place I had to go for help was the federal government for senior women.
