Pete Alemans Medical Expense Fund

Peter and Kim Aleman were on a mission trip to Africa in November, 2014. Just before leaving Uganda to Ethiopia, Peter was bitten by a tsetse fly. After some uncertainty at the Addis Abba hospital, the medical staff there determined that they would be unable to provide adequate medical care. Peter was taken by medevac to Pretoria, South Africa on November 26 where he has been treated for African trypanosomiasis, better known as Sleeping Sickness (he contracted the rare Rhodesian strain of the disease).
Peter was in the ICU in Pretoria East Hospital for 31 days, spending time on a ventilator, receiving many blood transfusions, and until about a week and a half ago was on dialysis for his failing kidneys. God has miraculously spared Peter's life; however, he has a long road ahead of him to recovery. He has since been moved out of the ICU, but is still in hospital and may be transferred to a rehab facility.
Although there was some insurance coverage, much of the medical treatment and medications will have to be paid for personally. As Pete's medical treatment continues, expenses may increase.
Thanks in advance for your prayers and support.
