With it’s ups and downs I have had the honor of raising 3 wonderful children and blessed with 8 beautiful grandchildren. But with time comes trials and tribulations, happiness and sadness. Last night was one of those times where life threw me a new curveball. My eldest daughter and my 4 grandsons have just lost their home to a fire.

My daughter has always worked hard for the few little things she’s had. Although their home was small, it was filled with happiness. These boys have shared one room, this is all they’ve known.

The fire started in the boys bedroom. My grandson was using the outlet to charge a few items, but it was too much for it to withstand. The fire took over quickly and swiftly. The boys and my daughter all managed to get out safely and that was the most important thing.

Unfortunately they lost absolutely everything. Their clothes, electronics, bicycle’s, mementos everything that young boys 10 to 15 would have.They are now homeless with only the clothes on their back.

As a mother and grandmother I would do anything for them but it’s not possible for them to stay with me as my home is a camper. I’m a minimalist and am happy living in my tiny space.

Now I am reaching out in hopes to get some help for them. Donations would help them stay in a hotel while my daughter tries to find place to stay. It would help to buy them food and some clothes which is desperately needed.
