Pat's War on Paralysis - It's On!

Donation protected
Hello, and thank you for hearing my story!  I went to bed on June 27, after experiencing a "pop" in my lower back, very mild discomfort from lifting a garage door, and literally woke up to paralysis from hips down on June 28. Final diagnosis is "Vascular Myelopathy" -  a "surfer's stroke" - and extremely rare. (I shoulda played the lottery!) While no guarantee of recovery, it may be possible, and that's my prayer! My stubborn gene has kicked in,  and I'm giving the hard work all I've got, and then some!

I will need to outfit a car with hand-held controls, and I'm very interested in neurostimulator devices - a Bioness L300, possibly an FES Bike, that we don't have available  in physical therapy here - used ones will be just fine, too!  Before paralysis, I was quite active physically, and active in my community; a glass-half-full kinda gal!  I want to recover, so I can keep giving back, too!  Best wishes for a healthy and productive 2015, for all of us, right?  Thank you!
