Help Us Finish Our Documentary - "No Brakes"

Hi all. Our names are Max Stallings and Jack Deindorfer and we are independent filmmakers trying to raise money to finish a documentary we have been working on over the past 7 months. It follows Mike Wright, a 63-year-old race car designer and driver, as he fixes up and prepares to race his Lola Sports 2000 car that he won a British Championship with in 1989. He sold the car immediately after, and through an amazing coincidence, was able to repurchase it in 2017. Now he is dealing with new issues with the car, COVID-19, and a search for jobs as he prepares the car for vintage races. His story demonstrates how powerful memories and passion can be as they are a driving force to strive for greatness.

We are about halfway through production on this documentary. Having just graduated from college we no longer have access to our university's equipment. There are also numerous travel expenses that we need to afford as we follow Mike to races in many different states and interview those from his past career in the UK.

The last thing we will film is in September 2021, with the bulk of travel and rental expenses existing for shoots throughout the summer.  Any support would mean everything to us, as we are so far into filming that to have to stop now would be devastating. We want to share Mike's story with as many people as we can, as it is a story that highlights what real passion looks like and how it can lead to great things. Even if you are not a fan of racing, his story will speak to you in some way.
