My Wig Fund Stage 3 Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ruby and I’m 18 years old.
I’ve recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. It’s been a lot to take in, and as I begin treatment, I know there will be many changes ahead — not just physically, but emotionally and financially too.
One of the hardest parts is knowing I’ll likely lose my hair. For me, a human hair wig would help me feel more like myself during such an uncertain time. However, these wigs can be incredibly expensive, and as I will have to step away from my job soon, covering the cost myself just won’t be possible. I can get a wig free from the little princess trust however, I just feel like I won’t feel like me as I wouldn’t be able to choose the colour or length.
Asking for help doesn’t come easy to me — but I’ve learned that sometimes, it’s okay to lean on others. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help bring a little comfort and confidence back into my life as I fight this.
The remaining money after getting a wig will be used to support transport to and from the hospital appointments and other necessities during this time.
Thank you so much for reading, supporting, and sharing.
With love,
Ruby
