Jen and Matt are two of the strongest people you will ever meet. Their first daughter Alacea was born with Hydranencephaly. Due to the buildup of fluid and pressure, her brain was never able to fully develop. The doctors prognosis was bleak. They said she would never go home. But for 9 years she has been here now. Holding on and fighting, all while bringing joy to the family that loves her. She is a little miracle child.
Late last year Jen and Matt found out that they were once again expecting! They were overjoyed. They found out the baby was a boy and decided to name him Eli. Sadly, due to complications, baby Eli did not make it to full term. Through the loss of a child, Jen and Matt held on, devoting their life to taking care of their daughter who is 100 % dependent on them.
Now though, their little miracle baby Alacea is losing her fight too. Although they had more time with her than ever expected, there is no pain that can ever compare to losing a child.
Jen and Matt are stubborn and I know they will refuse help, but there are so many of us that love them and WANT to help.
Alacea has been removed from the hospital and sent home to be with her family with the help of hospice. No parent should ever have to worry about the burden of finances at a time like this. Every second is precious now.
These funds will help with the cost of medical bills and to alleviate any financial burden they may face due being out of work to spend their last moments with their daughter.
