Hey Everyone! I never thought the day would come that I would need to ask for help from our family and friends, but thank you 2020 for not disappointing me. Some may know that on October 1st I got the call I never dreamed would come; Bri your biopsy results are in and I’m sorry to be the one to have to tell you, but you do have breast cancer. For those that know myself and James know that we are pretty private people, we had every intention of taking this head on ourselves. As I am sure many can imagine I have had to miss a lot of work in the last month for appointments, biopsies, and now Chemo treatments and because of that there goes my regularly scheduled pay. November bills are coming in and we are already looking at how we can pay everything to stay afloat and knowing the medical bills will start to come in soon really had us looking into our options. Unfortunately Breast Cancer doesn’t typically qualify you for long term disability unless it’s metastatic (and thankfully mine isn’t) and paid FMLA doesn’t start until possibly January but all the details haven’t been released to know for sure. With the holidays approaching and my health changing we want to keep everything as constant as possibly for Keith and it is hard to do on our own. We know 2020 has been rough for most and holidays are approaching for everyone, but we would like you to consider helping us out, whether it be by donating money to us directly, or my fabulous sister Erika, has set up a meal train for us as well!
