Help Me Get to London

Donation protected
Is this crazy? I know it's crazy. I've had to ask myself that question so many times. But you know that voice inside of you. The one really deep inside of you that secretly guides you all across your life if you listen to it properly. It's been bugging me... like a lot. And it's led me to here.

Something inside me is pointing me in the direction of London. The thought came to me about 3 months ago when I first heard one of my favorite artists Tom Misch. And slowly but surely I started paying attention to every artist that I've been listning to and sure enough, they were all coming out of London & surrounding cities in Europe.

For the past 3 months I've been researching the music scene in London, considered putting a tour together & have reached out to all of the people I've crossed paths with through Periscope, YouTube, friends, etc. who live in London. I initially considered just up and moving there for a few months. But after talking with some of my musician friends who had done that, they suggested I visit first just to check it out.

So here's my plan:

Visit London for 10 days in October. While I'm there I plan to see a different show every night, attend open mics, and acclamate as best I can to the city. The goal is to meet new artists, establish connections for future collaborations and ultimately see if moving to London is something that I can see myself doing. Also - get a feel for the way people respond to my music in London vs. here in California.

I planing on staying in 2 different Air Bnb's in different areas around the city. These rooms typically cost anywhere from $60 - $90 a night.

My only concern is my ability to fund this trip. I know it might seem silly but something like this can't wait. I actually feel like I've put it off long enough. I need to follow the voice inside my head & my heart & take the chance to discover what's out there for me.

Making music is incredible and I don't for a second take for granted how lucky I am to live in Los Angeles and make music for a living. But I've been at this for quite some time and I feel as though my new collaborators and fans might be waiting for me on the other side of the world.

If you would like to support my journey as an artist and you would like to see me grow immensely, please consider contributing to this Go Fund Me Campaign.

WHO IS JESSICA LOUISE?

After a successfully funded Indiegogo Campaign, Long Beach native Indie R&B Singer/Songwriter Jessica Louise has gone on to release her Debut EP VOICES which is a blend of soaring & smooth vocal performances with production inspired by The Weeknd, Jhene Aiko and Amy Winehouse. She recently transitioned from the theatre world into the music scene in May of 2015 and has since discovered much success through the live-streaming platform Periscope amassing over 5 million hearts and growing. Her favorite aspect of music is the ability to tell a story and share an experience through her performance.

The title VOICES comes from Jessica's personal battles with losing her voice due to nodules and permanent scaring and finding her voice through writing. Though her voice is permanently scarred, it has emerged as one that is different and unique with a raspy texture. This album was a way of encouraging her fans to find their voice and follow their dreams no matter what the obstacle.

Jessica is currently working on her sophomore EP titled "The Things I Wish I Could Say" that is her most personal and vulnerable project yet which is inspired by the sounds of Emily King and Lianne la Havas. Jessica's Debut EP VOICES is available on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Pandora, YouTube and SoundCloud
