I am currently a freshman student at the University of Cincinnati. I am majoring in graphic design, which consists of logo design, package creation and advertisements that you see on television and everyday items that you buy. The program I am in is rated in the top 10 in the nation, so like many college students, I spend more time working on projects than sleeping! I've worked especially hard for my 3.9 GPA and have allowed my creative side to be expressed tremendously. The only issue I have is the funds...
I am an independent student, meaning I have no parental financial help. My father left me my senior year and my mother struggles to feed and house my two younger brothers, so money has been a significant issue for me... I moved in with my girlfriend, Mollie Heslop, for my senior year of high school and her and her family have been a huge help and support since. If you met me, you wouldn't have even known that I was struggling because I am always a caring and generous person. I lack relatives, so finding financial help (especially without credit or co-signers) has become very difficult. As of right now, after the grants, scholarships, and loans that I have received, I still owe $1500 for the semester due to a mandatory room and board fee I owe. I have written petitions to attempt to remove my presence in a dorm to save money, but have been denied, since it is required for all freshman to live in one.
I am currently taking 18 credit hours, so it is hard to work at the job I am currently employed at. I get very little sleep as it is, so any help is always greatly appreciated... I would hate to have to withdraw from the university and forfeit my Dean's List grades because of my poor financial stability. Many college students share my situation, and I believe anyone that dedicates their mind and body to becoming successful deserves it, wouldn't you agree? So again, if I could find this project, it would not only allow me to continue my studies, but it will allow me to contribute my part as an American and do the same charity for others in need once I graduate and start working. The employment rate after college at my school is 98%, so my main goal is getting to graduation. Please help me!
