JK’s Doncaster to Weston Park Challenge

John’s story

Mid July I found a lump on my testicle so went straight to the doctors to get it checked. After being assessed I was referred for a ultrasound scan which I had that same week. The scan showed a cancerous tumour had developed and the decision was made to remove the whole testicle for further testing and to have more scans. 2 weeks after the operation it was revealed it was a seminona tumour that was removed and the scans revealed it had spread to the lymph nodes in my stomach, making it stage 2 testicular cancer. So on 26th August, I started an aggressive course of chemotherapy at Weston park hospital, where I stay for 3 days at a time and will do this 4 times over the next 12 week!

When we found out the news we were
truly devastated and knew straight away that we wanted to do something to help, let us tell you why....

So where do we start with John... what a
legend of a man. He is one of them lads
that you can tell without talking to him
that you will get on and we all did
straight away, we all hit it off like a house on fire! He is funny, easy to talk to and     great company and we feel like we have   known him forever.

But most of all he is a family man, you can see that a mile away, he loves his partner Nicky, and his amazing little daughter
Bonnie, who both love him to the moon   and back as well.

John you will smash this mate and we
will do anything for you, even if it
means walking to the end of the world to raise money to help you and your family during this difficult time and to support a great charity.
