Help Wes Pinkerton

Our Dad Wes Pinkerton was seriously injured while loading a car onto a flatbed trailer On December 3rd. When his pickup, trailer and the car he was loading started to slide, he ran down the passenger side of the pickup to try to jump in and stop it, but the trailer jackknifed, and pinned him between his pickup and a fence. He went into cardiac arrest for 10 minutes after unpinning him, and then for another 3 minutes when he arrived in the Emergency room at Campbell County Memorial Hospital. He was then life flighted to The University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora where he underwent spinal surgery right away, his spine had separated and shifted. His injuries included several broken ribs, a broken sternum, internal bleeding and a punctured lung. He was in the ICU for 12 Days then was moved to Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital in Johnstown. He has Yet to wake up. The Neurologists keep telling us he is in a gray area where they truly aren't sure if his brain will ever have the capability to communicate agian. Our dad is making small improvement everyday, moving is his feet and hands and opening his eyes. Finally on christmas morning his eyes tracked for the doctor, which may seem small but is a huge improvement from where we started. We won't know for at least 3 to 4 months if he will ever be himself again.

For those of you who don't know our Dad he is one of the most selfless people you will ever meet. He is always giving without ever asking for anything in return. He is a hard worker and can do anything he puts his mind to. A man that hates to hire anything done. He built a home by himself, works on his own vehicles and even tried to make his own dentures. His 3 granddaughters are his biggest pride and joy and loves spending every minute he can with them. He also enjoys the simple pleasures in life like camping, drinking 2 pots of coffee a day and occasionally watching a little fox news! He would probably hate that we are doing this but also be happy that I we are trying to help! His wife Chandra our "other mother" has been with him every step of the way barley leaving his side, running on few hours of sleep but never giving up hope! My Dad and all of us our so blessed to have her in our lives taking such good care of him, reading to him everyday and constantly telling him he is handsom!
We found out his insurance only pays for this rehab center for 6 weeks and then it will all be out of pocket so Please help to alleviate the financial stress that will incur so he can focus on getting better! No amount is too small, anything Helps!
