Who are we?
Our names are Aakanksha, Apoorva and Aneesha. We are helping our mum, who lives in Ludhiana (Punjab) to raise urgent funds for families devastated by the recent floods.
She is the Managing Director of a prominent hotel in Ludhiana, and is personally coordinating the relief efforts with her security staff, many of whom are ex-army. Their colleagues, including ex-servicemen and currently serving army personnel, are visiting their villages on holiday and are helping communities in nearby flood-affected areas. They are directly involved in providing on-the-ground support to flood-hit communities.
Together, they are already doing everything they can on their own, but the vast impact of the floods is overwhelming for just a few individuals to manage. That is why they are now reaching out for the support of kind-hearted people to help provide immediate relief to families who have lost everything.
Unlike large celebrity donations that may get lost in bureaucracy, these funds are going directly to on-the-ground relief efforts.
Punjab is facing its worst floods in decades.
Weeks of relentless rain and overflowing rivers, including the Beas, Satluj, Raavi, and Ghaggar, combined with dam releases have left Punjab under water. Entire villages are submerged, over 1,400 in total, and more than 175,000 acres of farmland have been destroyed. Homes, crops, and livelihoods have been swept away, leaving families with nothing. At least 40 lives have already been lost, with many more still missing.
Districts like Gurdaspur, Amritsar, and Ferozepur are among the worst hit, where tens of thousands of people have been displaced and are now struggling to survive.
Relief work is ongoing by the Indian Army, Air Force, NDRF, BSF, and NGOs, but the scale of destruction means more help is desperately needed.
Where will your donations go?
All funds raised will go directly into purchasing and distributing emergency relief items through trusted community networks in Punjab. Your support will help provide:
- Rice, cereals, pulses, and wheat
- Powdered milk, rusks, bread, and sugar/tea
- ORS and clean drinking water bottles
- Mosquito repellents, mosquito nets, and creams
- Sanitary pads and toiletries
- Tarpaulin sheets and mattresses
- Battery torches and essential medicines
- Cleaning items and bleaching powder
Why This Matters.
This fundraiser is deeply personal. Our mum and our extended community in Ludhiana are directly involved in coordinating drop-off points, ensuring every rupee is spent on real solutions that reach those most in need, not lost in administration. Volunteers are already mobilised, and your contribution will allow us to act faster and help more families survive and rebuild.
Punjab has always been known for its resilience and community spirit. Together, we can stand with its people at their time of greatest need.
Please join us in supporting this cause.
