Hi, my name is Lawanda Pryor. I have created this account in hopes of saving my mothers home. This has been our family home for decades, my grandmother raised my mother and her siblings here, my mother raised myself, my brother & all her grandchildren here. When my grandmother passed away she left this home to my mother and all she ask of her was for her to take care of her disabled brother Robert and she did just that. My mom took care of 2 of my uncles daily, my uncle bug until the day he passed away and also my uncle deadeye. My mother is a very god fearing women, she devoted so much to her church, her community and just all around everyone that was in need. On July 17 2021 my mother got a call from the hospital where my uncle Robert was admitted, asking all family to come up because he was not going to make it. That day my mother took that news so hard she had a massive stroke and it caused her to loose oxygen to her brain for a period of time causing a TBI. Doctors were able to save her and she spent 30 days in ICU on a ventilator in Dothan later transported to Birmingham to Brookwood Medical Center where she spent the next 3 months. While there mom made great progress and was weaned off the ventilator fully breathing on her own. She was then placed in a living facility that specializes in the care that she needs with her tracheotomy. That is where she resides now. Along the way we have incurred alot of medical expenses, bills, and many other unexpected financial things that have hit us so hard. Right now we are facing one of the hardest battles thrown our way since my mother got sick and we desperately need you’r help. Throughout a lot of unfortunate events my mothers home (our family home) has went into foreclosure and as of today we have 14 days to come up with 21k. Those of you that know my mother know that if someone came to her with this issue that she would do anything she could to help. I’m asking for our family, friends and community come together and help us keep my mothers home.
