Our Dear Friend Barbie

In May 2022, our dear friend Barbie was involved in a horrific house explosion that injured not only her body but her bright spirit also. She lost all her possessions, including the clothing on her back.

For those of you who have had the pleasure of having Barbie in your life, then you may have enjoyed a yummy meal with her, shared a great conversation, created a lasting memory with her, or received an inspirational note writen by her. Barbie’s giving spirit would make her the first person to lend a helping hand to others in all situations.

Since May, Barbie has spent months working hard to rehabilitate her body and mind. She has regained so much of what she lost during her long stay in the hospital and rehabilitation centers. She continues to overcome the challenges put in her path as she relearns simple daily tasks that we take for granted.

However, as she continues on this long recovery journey, she will need to replace the many things she has lost, such as clothes, household items, and shoes. She will also require years of medical care which comes with additional medical co-pays and out-of-pocket needs. This GoFundMe will go directly towards helping Barbie rebuild an independent life and will help cover her ongoing medical care expenses.
