I have had the pleasure of knowing the Kearney family for a little over a year now. We met through a mutual friend and I began caring for their little girl as Mrs. Ashley was preparing to start work after they moved back to this area. I love this family dearly and am truly blessed to have met them. Mrs. Ashley is such an incredible person! She’s a kind, loving, hardworking, and caring, teacher, friend, wife and mother who does anything and everything she can for others. She’s a true light in the lives of all that know her, always putting everyone ahead of herself. A few months back she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells. However, this diagnosis has not stifled the bright positive person that Mrs. Ashley is! She handles the struggles of cancer with such grace and strength, she’s truly someone to be admired. Despite her kick butt and take names approach to this fight, cancer still brings many burdens to those it affects that are tough to overcome. Since being diagnosed cancer has kept Mrs. Ashley from being able to work and now this family of five’s income has been cut by half as well as added medical bills to their normal expenses. Right now Mrs. Ashley is preparing to receive a stem cell transplant in the next few weeks that will hopefully lead to her remission. While insurance helps cut some of the cost, her and her family are still looking at having to front a hefty portion of the bill. If you are able to help this wonderful family I know they would greatly appreciate it. Every little bit is a true blessing so please give what you can and help this amazing woman know the love and kindness that she so generously gives to everyone that has the privilege of knowing her!
