Christopher Sillence Family

This account is in memory of Christopher Sillence who passed away January 2nd 2015 after a courageous fight against cancer. He leaves behind two young children and a loving wife, Kristen, who this fund will help through the tough times ahead and establish a college fund for their children, Kyra and Cameron. As a close family friend said, Chris was the definition of “a life well lived” and enjoyed every bit of it.
Chris was diagnosed with three forms of lymphoma in August 2014, with a promising diagnosis. During this time Chris remained positive and good spirited with the support of numerous friends, family and colleagues. There were some setbacks along the way which ultimately led to Chris being airlifted to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in late December. There, with the support of caring medical professionals working around the clock during the busy Holiday Season, he continued to fight but was given some devastating news on December 31th. Chris passed away less than two days later surrounded by loving family and friends.
The Sillence Family are all very active members of the local community. They can all be found giving any of their spare time to The Community of Joy church, Shining Stars and Stapleton Elementary schools, the Boys and Girl Scouts of America, and any friend, neighbor, or stranger in need. Chris and his entire family touched everyone they came into contact with.
During this time the Sillence Family will need any and all support to adapt to this new life without Chris . As Chris felt cut flowers were rather wasteful, in lieu of flowers please help a family that is loved by many friends, family, co-workers and so many others they don’t even realize they have touched. As those close to Chris and the Sillence Family know Chris loved his garden and it has been asked to have your favorite seeds sent to the family to plant in his garden in the spring.
